A virtual number gives you a local, national, mobile or toll-free number in another country, with calls forwarded to your VoicePro line or your softphone. You buy it in the shop.
Buying a number
- Destination: pick the country.
- Number: search by town, dialling code or type of number, and choose one.
- Review: check what you pay. You see the monthly price and, if the number has one, a one-off setup fee as its own line, before you pay.
- Pay: pay at checkout. Today you pay the first month plus any setup fee; after that, the monthly price.
Before you buy
- Proof of address: some countries need proof of a local address before the number can go live. The review step tells you when a number needs it.
- Per-minute charges: some numbers also cost a per-minute rate for calls to the number, on top of the monthly price. The review step says so when it applies.
- Setup fees: only some numbers carry a one-off setup fee. If yours does, it is not refundable once the number is active.
