Blockchain Fraud Management

A planned on-chain fraud ledger: immutable records shared across all VPX nodes, blocking bad actors network-wide in under a minute. In development; mainnet planned Q4 2026.

Overview

What it
means

Traditional fraud databases are centralised, mutable and siloed. A carrier detects a fraudulent route, updates their internal blacklist, but every other carrier on the network remains exposed until they independently discover the same threat.

The VPX blockchain is designed to change this fundamentally. When a node detects a fraudulent pattern - Wangiri callbacks, IRSF revenue share, CLI spoofing or traffic pumping - it submits a signed fraud record to the consensus layer. Once 2/3+ of Fraud Nodes confirm, every participating node receives and enforces the block.

Records are immutable. Once consensus confirms a fraud entry, it cannot be altered or deleted. This will create a tamper-proof intelligence layer that regulators, auditors and partners can trust.

Architecture

How it works

01

Detection

AI-powered pattern matching identifies fraudulent behaviour across source, destination, duration and frequency dimensions in real time.

02

Submission

Detecting node signs the fraud record with its private key and submits to the VPX consensus layer with evidence hash.

03

Consensus

Byzantine fault-tolerant consensus validates the submission. Minimum 2/3 node agreement required for confirmation.

04

Propagation

Confirmed fraud record pushed to all participating nodes via WebSocket and on-chain subscription. REST-polling participants updated within 60 seconds.

05

Enforcement

All nodes enforce the block simultaneously. Fraudulent routes blocked network-wide before further damage occurs.

Capabilities

Engineered for impact

01Real-Time

Wangiri Detection

Real-time detection of Wangiri callback schemes targeting premium-rate and high-cost destinations.

02Network-Wide

IRSF Protection

International Revenue Share Fraud blocked using multi-dimensional pattern analysis across the entire network.

03STIR/SHAKEN

CLI Validation

Spoofed CLI detection using STIR/SHAKEN attestation combined with historical caller profile analysis.

04Anomaly ML

Traffic Pumping

Artificial inflation of traffic detected through volume anomaly scoring against baseline patterns.

05Immutable design

Immutable Records

Blockchain-anchored fraud intelligence: on-chain records cannot be modified without invalidating consensus. Designed to be inspectable by regulators and partners. Third-party smart-contract audit not yet commissioned (WP-09 §9.4).

06Collective

Cross-Network Intel

Fraud intelligence shared across all VPX participants - one detection protects the entire ecosystem.
