Moving a whole team's numbers is the same PAC process as a consumer port, multiplied - and the multiplication is where planning pays.
How bulk ports work
Each mobile number has its own PAC from the losing network. For a handful of lines, requesting PACs by text from each SIM is quickest. For larger fleets, your current provider's business team can issue PACs for a list of numbers in one request - ask them for a bulk PAC export.
Plan the sequence
- Collect PACs for every number (each is valid 30 days - collect them within a window, not months apart).
- Load your lines in the VoicePro workspace first, so every number has a SIM or eSIM waiting.
- Submit the PACs, ideally batched by team so any single day's switchover is a group you can support.
- Each port completes within three working days; plan the batches so no critical role's number moves on a day they cannot afford a short gap.
On switchover days
The old SIM drops, the VoicePro SIM picks up after a restart - brief per-line interruption is normal. Keep one known-good line in each batch as the canary: when it moves, the batch is moving.
We will do the boring bit
For fleets beyond a dozen lines, raise a business ticket with your line list and preferred dates - the business desk will schedule the batches and track every PAC so your office manager does not have to run a spreadsheet.
