Overview

What it
does

Analytics Nodes are the planned data-processing backbone of the VPX Network. They are designed to ingest raw CDR data from connected carriers and network nodes, process it in real time and produce the quality metrics, traffic intelligence, anomaly signals and billing data that will power every other function in the ecosystem - from Routing Node quality scores to carrier billing reconciliation. VoicePro's live CDR intelligence runs today through Global Insight+.

Each Analytics Node processes CDRs as a stream - not in batches. Events are ingested, enriched with network metadata, scored for quality and anomaly indicators and made available via API within seconds of call completion. For carriers, this means real-time visibility into traffic quality, cost and fraud risk - not a report generated 24 hours after the fact.

Analytics Nodes also produce the network-wide intelligence aggregates that are published on-chain as Protocol data. Traffic volume trends, route quality benchmarks, destination performance rankings and fraud pattern indicators are all computed by the Analytics Node population and committed to VPX Protocol as verifiable, consensus-derived intelligence.

How the node operates

CDR Ingestion

CDRs are submitted to Analytics Nodes by connected carriers and Gateway Nodes in real time as calls complete. Ingestion is acknowledged within 100ms - no buffering or batch delay.

Stream Processing

Each CDR is enriched with network metadata: route path, node hops, quality scores, MNP status, fraud risk. Enriched CDRs are available via API within 2 seconds of call completion.

Anomaly Detection

Statistical models run continuously on the CDR stream to detect traffic anomalies: volume spikes, unusual destination patterns, quality degradation trends and potential fraud signatures.

Intelligence Aggregation

Analytics Nodes compute network-wide intelligence aggregates: route quality benchmarks, traffic volume trends, destination performance rankings. Aggregates are committed to VPX Protocol hourly.

API and Dashboard Delivery

All processed data is available via REST API and WebSocket for real-time dashboard integration. Billing-grade CDR export (CSV, JSON, XML) available for settlement and reconciliation.
